I ran across this thorough recent study of how some attorneys file their judgments. It seems to indicate that if you do have a judgment, you should at least find out if service was done properly. Evidently there are so many bad debts out there, and the attorneys contract to people who do the actual service, and many of them don't follow through with proper service.
