They answered right away with the validation, but completely ignored my PFD letter. However, since they now know that I can pay they have resumed calling me daily at home, work and cell. I never pick up. They called my boss to "verify employment" -- in other words to ask if I was at work that day. They called my extension as soon as they got off the phone with her.
I started doing some reading and came across an article on the Nolo site that said CAs are only allowed to call my employer once. Is that true? Fair Collections calls her every few months.
I know I can ask that they stop calling at work but what I'm hoping is that they have committed some sort of violation by calling to verify my employment more than once. Then maybe I can have something to bargain with since I've read on these boards how nasty and uncooperative this particular CA can be.
