I've never heard of that but it would be great for a lot of people if true, however, it could probably still report for the full 7. BUT a bill from 2005 is probably past SOL anyway and definitely at the 7 year mark for the CRA, correct? What's the SOL for your state? And is 2005 when the bill went past due?

Yeah, this part is most important, is 2005 when it was opened, or when it reported as DOFD. If it is DOFD, then there's at most two months left reporting.

Send a DV or debt validation letter. Keep in mind AT&T was a different company in 2005 than it is now, so it may be more difficult for them to validate. Assuming it comes back validated, offer a pay for delete.

EOS-CCA has been placing TONS of iffy ATT debt on credit files... check your PM, I sent you a solid contact within EOS-CCA.. email them and question the debt validity... you will get it removed..
