Slowly but surely, I am getting up there. My goals right now are trying to get the collections deleted, they are currently in dispute. The Speedy Cash is from 2014 and the one from Midland is from 2017, according to my CR. Also, I am trying to get some late payments deleted from Capital One, but that hasnt been working very well.

Just received a call from Capital One Senior Case Manager, since I sent a letter to the Cap1 CEO for a GW request. She pretty much told me that I she couldnt grant a GW request because the CRA rules and blah, blah, blah...

Yea I am not sure anyone has had success in GW with Capital One. I personally tried about 6-7 times and was denied each.

Yep exactly. My most recent late payment was with Capital One. That is just over 24 months old now since they refuse to do any GW deletes.

Just sat on the phone for 30 minutes with Cap1 on hold... I was returning their call, they just pretty much told me that they had called me by mistake...

On the plus side. Something was removed from my TU report... I have no clue what it is though.

Interesting you see no change in score. I would give it a few days and see if anything changes. I would find it hard to believe having a negative account removed wouldn't help your score.

I have had 3 negative collection accounts removed that didn’t change my score. It all depends on how bad the person’s individual file is.

OP, your letter to the CRA about midland doesn’t really seem to dispute the accuracy of their reporting of your debt, it just goes on about their business practices. Unless I missed that part. If they delete the trade lines Midland will put them back on. Midland will do a PFD after you settle for less than owed.

I got a call a few days ago from a lady from Cap1 in Richmond, VA, saying they can’t remove accurate info.

Looks like anyone who sends gw letters to the CEO gets a call rejecting them lol. That’s a bit cruel, just send a letter. Got my hopes up with that call only to reject me.
