Citi offers one, as does NFCU if you have a way in. I think US Bank also does, and a local credit union may as well.

Fellow starting-over-twicer here. Do you have any accounts still currently open and in good standing? If so, that will help a lot with rebuilding. If not, you're on the right track with trying to get a new secured card. As already mentioned by others, there are still some banks left that might give you one. Cap1, in particular, is likely to give you one as soon as you've settled your existing debts with them.

Settling your existing debts will make the biggest difference. That by itself boosted my scores from mid-400's to mid-600's instantly. And once that's done, getting approvals for new accounts will be much easier.

Good luck!

Cory when you say Settling, did you pay for delete or just pay the collection agency?

i would pass on waiting for the Cap1 Secured - they don't graduate anymore - so you will be waiting - then get a card that wont carry you forward

Settle with whoever allows it - if you list out the companies holding the CO's, then people can tell you which ones will PFD

either way, you want to get them all to $0 balance, so that your scoring can begin to improve

any CO with a balance will continue to supress your scores

if you don't want to provide the details for confidentiality reasons, all suggestions will be pretty general

if you search the rebuilding forum, you will see what data needs to be provided and how specific the following advice is

whatever works for you though

Well, ideally PFD if they'll do it, but even just paying it (with no delete) will help your scores a lot. You won't see much increase until the last one gets paid, but then when the last one gets paid it'll suddenly be like BOOM! Huge score boost. It's not unusual to see 50-75 points, or more, immediately after the last delinquent account reports $0 balance.

I would say that depends on if it is part of revolving util.

Me and my SO have many derogs and none are from revolving debt, so no util to reduce. Are score have been a slow climb until they fall off.

Adding CCs has helped, as neither of us had any to build a credit history. The rest will be a burden until the age off or EE is done. We also have defaulted SLs, but same thing applies, until the CAs are removed and the "new" old positive TLs are added, we are in low score city. Thankfully that is sooner than later.

It is still possible to increase your scores, so do not be discouraged.

Good luck!

2 weeks in have gotten 3 paid for deletes and now got approved for Net First and Applied Bank. Also did the Self loan app thing too and got approved. Who ever created that is a Geniuis. They are literally taking your money and you cant touch it and they apply a APR just so it reports. LOL! Crazy!
