Re: From 558 to 696 in 11 months - How do I break 700+?

Vantage is whacked out right now; my FAKO's on CK are 30 & 42 points lower than my actual FICO scores here. I've seen it go the opposite direction as well.

I'll agree with everyone else here that mentioned reducing your uti.

A few months ago, I went from 35% to 4% using the AZEO method, and pulled my scores from 650-ish to high 680's.

It takes time. Pay your bills on time. No more apps and let things grow. Thats a lot in 11 months and all those new accounts and inq's need to age. Once time passes your scores will rise. More acounts wont help. FICO doesnt look at how hight your overall credit lines are. Dont be late, pay on time, and see the results in a year. Below in my sig is for rebuilders to see what can be done in 3 yrs. Not to brag. Good Luck!

Are these Fako or FICO scores? Get your EX FICO for free at Discover Scorecard.

Mhm, according to the discover score card, my Fico Score is 754, length of credit is 4 years, with 17% utilization.

Thats unexpected. How is this even possible? Credit Karma states something completly different, and so does Chase VantageScore

Fortunately you have 10 accounts. I'd hold off on apping for a while.

Holding off, Got it. Ill check if Kay Jeweler is SP or HP.

rayy166,

As long as it's a soft pull then you can ask as many times and on as many cards that you want. Check the forums to be sure it's a soft pull because it may vary depending on the ask. (i.e. phone vs web vs chat vs online vs human on phone)

Starting CK FAKOS 6/28/2018
TU 503
EQ 498
Discover EX 537

FICO 8
7/7/18 05/24/21
EQ 557 701
TU 566 715
EX 514 711

Mortgage Scores FICO 5,4,2
7/7/18 05/24/21
EQ 494 685
TU 480 703
EX 479 693

Goal Score 720

I guess what I am trying to ask is, since my score is higher than expected, would it be smart to ask for CLI increase even if its a HP?

I mean that would inrease my credit limit and decrease my utilization, if approved. Would a hardpull in my situation, with my score be a dumb decision?

Awesome on the great score. If you could list your cards. Then we can help you get some CLI luv. Do any of the cards have a free FICO score? You may have a FICO TU score on one of them and dont know it. Like a Disco card. CK, Creditwise, and all these other services are good for only watching your reports and no funny business happens. Vantage scores mean nothing.

Hold off on HP CLI's until we can see what you can get with a SP first.

I wouldn’t take a HP for a CLI on a store card. But that’s just me. Go the old fashion way and pay down your balances.

Let me add. Getting SP CLI's on the cards that have the higer util%'s will do you more good than the other cards. CLI's on other cards will help your overall util which is scored by FICO. Known as aggregate util. Like individual cards 8.99% or less is best with Aggregate util too.

Re: From 558 to 696 in 11 months - How do I break 700+?

I will be more than happy to provide that info:

Thank you, I am suprised myself!!

Here are all my cards:

Regular CC's

Discover It  800$/4000$ (Recent CLI from 2500$)

Barclays Apple Rewards 0/2000$

Chase Slate 0/2000$

Store Cards *Face Palm*

Macys 770/2500$ (recent CLI from 1500$)

Military Star Card 0$/2400$

BestBuy 720/1000$

Kay Jeweler 0/300$ ( Just found out they do SP, will be going into store this week sometime)

Dicks Sporting Goods 0/5000$ ( Just got CLI from 800$)

I was in a bad spot most of 2017 - 2018, I opened alot of department store cards, which was a stupid idea, but it cant be changed now.

As far as FICO scores go; dicks and discover have it for sure! I did just buy the myFICO packet for 39.95 a month.
