...a collection from them just popped up on my EQ. And maybe the others too. I dunno. Got a Score Watch alert and went and pulled another my FICO report for EQ. Says it's for Comcast. Weird, bc I'm moving and I JUST called them to get service set up yesterday. They said NOTHING about me owing them anything. I think my ex and I might have had them YEARS ago. Anyhoo, I got no dunning notice whatsover and they are listing DOFD as 10/12...WTH???
The other weird thing is that I got the alert today. It says it was reported 12/1 but I ran a report just 5 days ago on 12/19 (yes, I'm obsessed) and it wasn't there.
So, I guess I DV? I for sure never got a dunning notice for this. Maybe I have some really old balance with Comcast but these guys are CLEARLY reporting an incorrect DOFD bc IF I had a Comcast account (and I'm not positive) then it was years ago.
From reading some of the threads it sounds like they are one of the easier ones to PFD so I half feel like doing that even though I don't know if it's really valid. Just REALLY want a clean report. AUGH!
They did a PFD over the phone with me. Some will recommend not doing this, but they kept their word with me.
Has anyone had any luck with a GW with them? I have looked all over the boards and this the first I seen Stellar recovery. I am going to try a GW but was hopeing some had input.! I didnt do PFD I did PIF becuase I wasnt on the forum and didnt know any better :-)
Get the DV sent out. Then go from there.

I did the PFD over the phone with Stellar last week, and the baddie was gone from all my reports in 2 days.
So I am wondering since mine was already paid if I was to call them and ask them nicely over the phone if they would also remove mine since it was paid long ago? Or If I should just good will them via a letter?
