GM Financial Repo removal

I am working on fixing my husbands credit.  He was out of work in 2012 into 2013.  GM repo'd his car but we paid off the entire balance the next day (7k PIF thanks to family)
Today, it is listed as:

  • Date of Last Payment

Remarks

  • Payment after Repossession., Paid repossession.

Has anyone had success getting GM to remove a paid reposession?  What should I have him do?  I was not on the loan or I would be making phone calls myself.

Send a GW letter to the office of the CEO asking that it be removed, this is your best bet. The older the better odds of success.
