The bolded ca I have had success with DV's.  Im sure you can DV them and get them to delete.  NCO IMO is the easiest of all.  And the reason I strongly advise you to DV the other ca's is because I know for a fact that they are reporting your loan as a "factoring account", and chances are the accounts have been re-aged in some sort of way.

Re: GW/PFD...any luck with the following.......

Keep a close eye on your SOL. Writing or communicating with them in any way could lead to an elevated level of collection activity and the possibility of a lawsuit if within SOL.

However, GW any paid acct.

My only experience is with AFNI, NCO, and CapOne. I'm fighting with AFNI now via PFDs. Been doing so actively for 2 months. NCO caved very easily in with a DV (but weren't reporting) and I followed it up with payments to the OC. And CapOne....DW has a paid CO (we never paid, probably sold) that we have been trying to get off with a PFD. Might switch tactics and start GWing. I have 2 lates from 2002 with them and they won't budge.

Good luck.

Re: GW/PFD...any luck with the following.......

I did a PFD with RJM...they are GREAT...,my DW has a collection from....CPA...she plans on playing the OC...and never dealing with them...but I heard they do...there is an entire thread on them...search for it in the searchbox...and for Afni...DW sent a GW letter to them...for her cousins old paid collection...via email..to the following email addresses...

AFNI, INC.

PO Box 3097

Bloomington, IL61702

Account#: XXXXXXX

To Whom It May Concern::

I am writing to see if you would be willing to make a “goodwill” adjustment to your reporting to the three credit reporting agencies. The above reference account was placed with you for collections by Sprint PCS in Feb 2004. I paid the account in full on April 2004.

Because I have paid the account in full, I would like you to consider deleting the account from you records and stop reporting to the three credit reporting agencies. I had no idea about this collection company because I have received no letter from you regarding this. As soon and I found about out about this collection from pulling my 3 in 1 credit report. I contacted you and paid as soon as I could.

I am in the process of refinancing my home and currently my scores are too low to do so. I have a 30-60 day time frame to get my scores up. I have been paying all items on my credit report and because this one is already paid all I can do it hope you will delete which will increase my score a lot. Your customer service representative suggested that I write you for a “goodwill adjustment.”

Sincerely,

Re: GW/PFD...any luck with the following.......

I had luck GW-ing GAP. In my case it was Banana Republic and Old Navy. I recommend you call their call center. Both my GWs were done through Old Navy and on the phone. I tried Banana first, they said no, then I tried ON and they did it right away for both accounts.

Good luck!

Re: GW/PFD...any luck with the following.......

Medical Data Systems, inc. (medical)    never contact a CA on ANY medical    what is this for hospital or other medical?    You use HIPPA letter for this!!!!

Quality Asset Recovery (medical)
Capital Collection (medical)
Prince Parker & Assoc. (medical)
IC Systems (medical)
                       USE HIPPA for all medical

GW are sent for any paid debt!

Always know what your SOL is before doing anything.....so that you do not get sued!!!

Know what the DOFD/DOLA is from the OC......CAs are known to re-age    they are also know to report when it isn't yours!!

Never PFD before they answer a DV!

AFNI (Cingular)   if this is for a cell...federal SOL is 2 years from DOLA
                               DV them

Palisades (att wireless)  vary nasty CA!!!      federal SOL 2 years
DV and past SOL & CRTP letter

Asset Acceptance (Target)
Credit Protection Association (time warner cable)
RJM Acquisitions (book club)
NCO (nationwide ins)
ER Solutions (Comcast)
Jefferson Capital (imagine)

If not past SOL any creditor can file a lawsuit for a judgment.  A simple dispute will let them know that you are aware of them & can set them off.

If you have the money & want to pay in full with a PFD.......always go through the OC unless the account has been sold, or they will not work with you.
Never send a DV to an OC!!

IF you can't afford to pay them all....start with small ones bills (PIF with a PFD)

Never PFD before a DV is answered by  a CA!!

Always mail letters CMRRR!
Never sign anything going to a CA!

Know what you are doing before starting!!!  Ask as many questions as you need.

Start slow & do 1 creditor at a time....you will learn as you go! Each baddie might need to be handled different!
