i had seen many different people stating that you should never sign a dv letter or anything sent to a CA, as signatures tend to have a way of jumping from one document to another...
as such, my question is simple - do i sign gw letters that i'm sending to oc? to ca?
one other question as well - is an account status of just "closed" going to hurt me? i have a few gw letters where i'm asking to have "canceled by credit grantor" changed to just "closed" if i can't get the line deleted entirely...is this a good way to go?

I suppose they might be able to change the status to Closed by consumer. I've never tried, so I can't say for sure. This has no effect on your FICO score, however. It might make a difference on a manual review of your CR, but would have no effect on an instant decision online or anything.
