GW to Verizon- how does it sound?

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing a letter about my experience with Verizon Wireless that is a
mixture of a grateful "thank-you" and a pressing request concerning a
wireless service account in my credit files that I would like to have revised.

I have been a customer with Verizon since September 2009 and in that time have
been extremely happy with your service. In January 2012 I experienced an
unfortunate event that left me as a single mother. I was previously a stay at
home mom and had no income to fulfill my obligations to you. I immediately
began seeking employment and was unable to work until August 2012. I am now
employed with the State of Colorado and was able to pay this account.

I have a goal to purchase a home within the next year, and it has come to my
attention that the late notations from Verizon Wireless may preclude me from
taking full advantage of the very lowest interest rates now available. Since
those notations do not reflect my current status with Verizon Wireless, I am
requesting that you give me a second chance at a positive credit rating by
revising this account. I sincerely hope that there is redemption at Verizon,
and I beg you for such consideration. Please let me know if any additional
documentation would assist in reaching a positive outcome, and I thank you
again for the time you have spent reading this letter.

Very hopefully yours,

It sounds fine. I think you need to assert yourself and tell them what exactly you would like to see happen.
