GW: what address?

In 7-10 days, I'll have a 0 balance on my only credit card.  The card has a 5000 CL. As recently as October, the balance was 4700.  I've had this card for 10 years.

When I finally pay it off, I'm going to send a GW letter to get all my lates removed (8 altogether, 1 in the last 2 years, in June, 2008).  My question is, where do I send the GW letter?

The 3 obvious choices are:

  • to the address where I send payments, or
  • to the return address on my statement, which is a different address, or
  • to both.
Any advice is appreciated.

Who is your creditor? Goodwill letters are sent to creditors and not the credit bureaus.

I'm aware that GW letters are sent to creditors.  My creditor is First Hawaiian Bank.

Re: GW: what address?

It couldn't hurt to send a GW to both.  You can also find an address on your credit report which might be different.
