Getting past procrastination?

For my 101st post on MyFico I thought I would ask for some wisdom from those that are already into repair/rebuilding their credit journey.

How did/do you get past the procrastination?  I feel overwhelmed and quite down about my files, even though I have credit lines, I can't imagine how I will tackle this.

I've considered hiring a service for this but that seems like a waste of money!

I'm 50 something and need some feedback from the youngins out that in the middle of this as well!  BTW - I don't drink Red Bull... Smiley Wink  TIA

Re: Getting past procrastination?

My wife decided we needed to buy a house...  If I ever want to sleep in peace again I need to make that happen and that requires getting the crap done.

Re: Getting past procrastination?

I wanted a car from a lot and not a buy here/pay here which was high milage and dint help my credit score plus we wanted to move and beable to finance a home.

I started going through my " ignore it box" and started paying off old collections. Then did a search for middle Fico score and landed here! I was like you...overwhelmed and  stalled and put off out of fear!!

Re: Getting past procrastination?

I was stuck sending GW letters becuase I had already paid off collections but was rewarded nicely by just digging in and set fear aside. Here's my new car :-) You can do it!!!

Re: Getting past procrastination?

Mine was getting involved in the family real estate and rental business. I hope to purchase not only my first home but a duplex, triplex, or four plex (with one unit being my own) by the end of summer. Smiley Happy
