HELP!! 2 CA on CR W/ similiar names???

Good morning...

I don't know what I'm suppose to do/where to start.

I have Afni (CA) reporting for Cingular that I owe them money (which I know I do) AND I have AFN-BLOOM (CA) reporting as well for CIngular. I'm assuming it's the same CA, they have SAME city/state, but DIFFERENT PO BOX & Phone #'s.

One is reporting with Equifax and the other is reporting with TransUnion.

What do I do? WHo to contact?

Good morning to you too!

Afni-Bloom is just Afni in Bloomington (IN or IL). I think that's their main office.  So same company, just listed with slightly different names.

As for what you should do, I'll leave that up to people who know more than me!

But yea I don't know why they are both reporting it seperatly. and don't know how to take care of this.

Have you disputed one of the accounts yet? Are they out of SOL? I would dispute with CRA's as duplicate accounts! Everything is showing the same except for addresses and contact numbers correct?

No I haven't disputed one of the accts. and NO they are not out of SOL.

Everything is showing the same but phone/address.

According to the OP message, it doesn't sound like they are double reporting. They are reporting on different credit reports. It is the same CA though.

They did this to me as well, one was AFNI and the other was Anderson Financial for the same Cingular account.

I PFD AFNI and then called and asked why they doing that and the rep promised me if I paid it that it would go away, (WAYYYYY before I found these boards and knew about PFD in writting).

The supervisor apologized for the double reporting and poof they were BOTH gone.
