I am working on my husband's credit reports. EQ has some things incorrect.
1. His birth year is off by 21 years! Says 1947 but he was born in 1968.
2. An address listed that we never lived at. Road name is correct, house number wrong.
3. A hard inquiry from a finance company that placed a Charge-Off/Judgement against him for an unpaid account.
I will dispute the first two items above, but what can I do about the hard inquiry that was made when they had no authorization to do so?
Thank you! I've learned a TON on these forums.

Both collection agencies and original creditors have permissable purpose to request your report. Is the account showing as two different records, one charge~off and one judgment?
yes, showing as both. Why would they do a hard pull months later though?

Probably trying to decide how to best collect....i.e.comparing your debts from other creditors, status, lates, etc..
It's showing "secured loan" and I haven't found out yet what was used for security, but wouldn't they have taken that and used it for what was owed? I can understand if there's still a deficit Maybe? This is from his business and it's showing on his personal credit reports.
