Has anyone recently settled for chase for less than half?

Just wanted to know if there is anyway chase will settle for less than 50%. I'm asking for recent experiences within the past year.


And if chase let's you pay with a credit card.

If they allow multiple payments towards settling, Would credit card still be okay?

I am not sure if they will allow you to do so with a credit card but it depends on the amount and time since you paid. For large amounts that are more recent, probably not.

Charge off amount is $5400 from April 2013

Last year I had Chase slate that was charged off from 2013 for $12,000. I got multiple offers to settle and 1 was as low as $2200. Ended up doing $3600 in 6 monthly payments for $600. So yes they will go well under 50 percent. Just remember 1099c for anything over 600 forgiven.

Thank you!! When I called they were insistent they could go any lower than 50%. I do have $1k I can throw them, maybe I'll try again with a cold hard cash in hand today settlement offer.

I settled 2 chase cards yesterday. Total was 8600. Settled for 2300
