Help with Med Bill from CA

I read part of a link that i saw in someone else post but I am a little confused.  The bill below is (was) valid.  At first I didnt have the money, then I forgot about it.  But the date of service in the ER is 2002.  Where do I go from here?  Advise needed.  Its only on my EX report...

Paul Michael Marketing

Original Creditor: PMS-ER (hospital name)

Date opened 6/2004

Collection account 309 as of 9/2004

Recent balance as of 9/2004

Date of status, last reported and account history all say 9/2004

And says its supposed to continue on my record until 2010

is there anything i can do about this account?

File a dispute with all CRAs reporting!  use the HIPPA letter...................new HIPPA law....the CRAs MUST contact the OC and get all info!!!!  they can not just contact the CA!  CMRRR

Dear CRA,

My name is xxxxx xxxxxx , my SS # is xxx xx xxxx.

I am sending this dispute certified mail # xxxx to make sure you receive it.

I have no knowledge or records of account # xxxxx reported by xxxxxxx

 

Please advise me as to the name and address of the medical provider, the date and type of service,and to whom the service was provided, as any account I might have had would be obsolete.

 

If you can obtain this information, I also would need the name of the person providing this data, and the manner in which it was provided in order that I may pursue additional legal remedies.

If you can not obtain The information from the original creditor  within the required time frame (30 days)   Please delete this account from my CR.

Please mail me an updated report when this dispute is completed.
