How much of a score increase to expect?

Currently my score is 488. I have just opened a Cap1 secured card with a $300 limit and a finger but fresh start with a $230 limit. When those accounts start to report will I see an increase. Also, do I need to use the FH account for it to report? Thanks in advance!

It varies from my experience. I Just open up a Captial one secured as well and received a 43+ score increase on Experian. TU and EQ have not updated yet.

I also opened up a fingerhut fresh start account so i could not answer your question on that one.

Credit Profile: Started (2/6/2016): EQ 516, EX 542, TU 543
FICO 08 (11/4/2016): EQ 634, EX 647 , TU 645

How many negative items do you have? If you only have a few negatives, but no positives, adding these two positives can give your score a big jump. If you have a lol of negatives then it might not offset those very much, so you wouldn't see a big increase.
