I have 2 charge cards (Wal-Mart and Valero) that I have had for just over a year. All on time payments and at/under 30% used. Could I add my husband as an AU to improve his score any or are they too new still and would hurt him instead?
The Wal-Mart card is a $520 balance of a $2700 limit, and the Valero is $150 of $500 limit.
We are needing to bump him up 11 points to qualify for a loan and just dont know what else we can do. Thanks!
AUs typically are added on old well established 0 balance accounts. For a loan AUs are not going to help as they are typically discounted at time of application.
