How should I deal with this “baddie”?

I have a Menards store card from Capital One from a little over a year ago that is way overdue.

After all interest and fees the balance is somewhere around $1,300 on a $1,000 limit card.

It’s reporting as a closed account, “charged off as bad debt”. I haven’t gotten any letters or calls from any collection agencies but I’m sure they’re out there on the hunt.

Not sure how badly this is dropping my score because I have a 30 day late on an auto loan I also need to get taken care of (didn’t pay on time / change of job / joined the military), but I really want to get all of this taken care of.

Just want to know where to start, and what my options are. I guess?

Thanks!

If Cap-1 is reporting a balance then they still own it, I would call them and see if you can get a settlement offer from them and they pay it off to stop monthly updating. The monthly updating keeps Fico score depressed.
