I am finally in the FICO 8 700s

I had stagnated around the 670s to 680s this past year.  Finally, my last charge-off dropped off.  My TransUnion went up 49 points to 728.  My Experian in September went up 39 points to 720.  I don't know what my Equifax is, but that will probably be even a little higher than the other two.  My CR is now clean except for one paid collection I will never get off before the seven years.  I paid it off the minute it came on my report.   I paid it off to a law firm that handled the collection for my local electric company.  From my research, they don't budge.  Never in my life have I had a collection for utilities or cable, etc.  It was from my own neglect after I moved.   Had I known better back then, I would have contacted the electric company to see if they would pull it back and let me pay it to them.  So that will be on my credit report for three more years.    I have been carrying some balances on a couple of credit cards, which puts me over 8 percent utilization.  I believe it's now come down to 10 percent.  Hopefully, within a month, that will be back under the 8.9 percent threshold and maybe my credit score will be even a little higher.

It feels amazing to see how far I've come, though, over these last four years.   Many thanks to this forum and its members for all of the advice and encouragement given and knowledge I've gained as time went on.

Congratulations on crossing the 700 line! It's taken a lot of hard work, I'm certain. May you enjoy this moment and keep running forward to the next credit goal! Smiley Happy

Congrats!

I'm just broke the 700 mark for 2 of them but it looks like TU won't budge for me for a while.

That CO falling off boosted your score...incredible! Congrats on the hard work. Onward and upward!!

680 was my first goal number. Probably because that's the minimum score to get DCU's best rates from an auto loan (EQ08). I've crossed that loan. Now I just have to wait another 20 months if I want to use them because they won't approve until 2 years after the BK was discharged.

My other scores are 25-35 points behind.

Pre-Credit Rebuild Scores Pre-DC (3/24/22) - EQ - 524 / TU - 519 / EX - 495

Current Scores - EQ - 687 / TU - 663/ EX - 677

TD Bank - $5000 / Mercury - $5000 / Capital One Savor One- $5000 / SDFCU Secured - $4990 / Capital One QuickSiver - $4500 / Ally Master Card - $2800/ Walmart Mastercard - $2250
