Judgment showing up was paid, can it be removed?

Am helping a friend clean up her report. A judgment for a speeding ticket for 544 dollars is showing up under two of the cb's. She has documents

from credit agency where it was paid off. Do I send a letter to the CB's or the Credit Agency or both to get it removed? Or does it stay

for a period of time?

Thanks,

Steve

Is the judgment reporting the unpaid balance?

ETA...it's allowed to report after payment, but it must report at $0 if paid.

If you know who put the judgement on your CR, then ask them to file a motion to vacate.

Sometimes it'll cost you some money. I've never seen it costing more then $20.

You should also be able to file a motion to vacate. Check the legal website for you state courts.
