Just got a collection for an account I do not have

my credit drop 97 points for a collection on an account i do not have

what do i do

Dispute it my friend!

As Brandon mentioned definitely dispute it.  Since someone may have opened up an account in your name, perhaps a police report for the record.

So it was actually me. But I never got late payment notices from coned and I immediately paid them off. Should I have paid the collection place directly. It was for 167. I thought I paid off my final bill but apparently no.
