How can I thank you all? Somehow “thank you” doesn’t seem enough. This is the last thread I’ll start here. Why? Because as of this morning my reports are clean, thick, and fairly aged.
I only found this place about two years but in 2012 a nasty divorce started. My goals at the time were pretty simple, don’t lose my car or apartment. I was paying half of a mortgage, rent, and my car payment. I was in over my head and there wasn’t enough over time or part time work in the world to make ends meet. In 2013 the divorce finalized and the house sold (in a short sale). I couldn’t tell you what my scores were through all of this but at the end of everything I’d assume they were close to, or below, 500. I didn’t have a single positive tradeline and all my report had on it was short sales, collections, lates, and charge offs. In all reality I probably should have filed BK.
Three years ago I was pretty sure I couldn’t even get a car on my own. Two years ago I came here after getting a $300 Cap1 Platinum. I learned so much here, thanks to all of you, and started to take beck my credit.
It’s been 82 months (EE 🤗😉), more disputes, more arguments with CAs, and more arguments with CRAs than I can count. This afternoon my phone vibrated with an alert and I opened MyFICO. What I saw was this...
Equifax 769
Transunion 768
Experian 757
I am finally clean. My name used to be “Chasing750”. Now it’s “Caught750”. Thank you to all of you. I’m not worried about buying a car anymore, I’m not even worried about buying a house this year.
