Late removed from 2017? I'm confused

I have a question about late payments being removed.  My DH has a Bank of American account that has lates.  He just got a notice that a negative was removed from his FICO.  So I checked last months report and this months report and it looks like a late from 5/2013 was removed.  Isn't that just over 6 years?  The reason I'm asking is because only one of the credit bureau's removed it and there are more months of deliquency.  B of A has been saying it's late for every month for the last 3 years.  I've has listed it below to show:

Closed Date

Equifax –

Transunion 08/26/2013

Experian –

The 05/2017 was removed, which doesn't make any sense?  The last time it was paid was in 2013....thoughts?  Also this is info. from the myfico reports and they aren't showing all of the months that were reported (as in 2013 isn't showing on the Experian list...so was it really the 05/2017 that was removed or was it another month that isn't showing and they just removed it 10 months early?  That doesn't really make sense either, since I've never heard of removal that early when it wasn't requested?

Also wondering about the last activity reports since it shows July 2013 on one CB  and Nov 2013 on the other CB.  Does that mean when we hit 7 years they will use those months for removals?  Or can we request them removed from both the CB's at the same time for removal?

Re: Late removed from 2017? I'm confused

I have a similar thing with BOA.  I got behind on two BOA credit cards back in 2012 when I was laid off from work.  I set up a payment plan with BOA so the cards were never charged off.  For some reason, Experian has never reported the lates on this account which got up to 120 days late from 2013 to mid-2014 when the account was brought current.  For some reason, Experian either reports all these lates as 'Not Reported' or as 'OKAY' and never show that these two accounts were ever past due (which they definitely were).  Transunion USED to report the lates but since late 2018, Transunion isn't reporting these accounts AT ALL.  I certainly am not complaining that Experian and Transunion aren't reporting these lates.  However, I do think it is strange that ONLY Equifax now reports these lates.  Perhaps it has to do something with the way BOA reports to the CRAs?

Removal of delinquencies can occur two separate ways.

Either the creditor can report deletion to the CRA, which can be done at any time, or the CRA can exclude the derog(s) due to their having reached their required credit report exclusion date under one of the provisions of FCRA 605(a).

It looks as if the creditor chose, for some reason, to report deletion to one or more CRAs on their own, rather than removal having occured as a result of credit report exclusion by a CRA.

You can always contact the creditor and inquire as to whether they reported a deletion to one or more CRAs.....

is it within the rights of the creditor to remove a late if they so choose? I thought they were always to report accurate information?:

Yes and no. But they do have the right to remove lates. Thats why you'll see many ask for Goodwill (GW) Letter advice to get a creditor to remove a late for a missed payment. Same applies to Midland and Portfolio collection agencies. They delete when paid. They dont have to but they do.

Re: Late removed from 2017? I'm confused

i had very good reasons to request a 30 day late removal for a credit union but after lots of reviews they called me & let me know they could not remove the lates. i sent in all pertaining documentations related to my humble request for 30 day late removal but nothing.

Its a credit union.
