As far as I know, the company that holds your loan has to have a rehabilitation program. Upon completion of the program (usually 6-12 mos) they wipe out the late payments.
I just want to thank everyone in this post. I gave the car away to my mom and got a second car for myself, this August. The rate on the new car is 7.26%.
