MIDLAND IS ON MY REPORTS -- HELP GET THEM OFF?????

Well needless to say, one Midland account has sat on my Experian report for ages as closed and the second never on record.  One of them was turned over to an attorney's office in Louisville, KY and I have been paying them $100 a month since January.  I could not afford a settlement offer at the time.  Neither were ever reported to Equifax or Trans Union.  Needless to say, this morning Midland (both accounts) appeared on my Equifax reports.  They show as:

Can you help me to get these off of my reports?  Am I correct that the 01/01/2001's would be obsolete?  Should I dispute them with the CRA's first or send DV's to Midland directly?  Correct we if I am wrong:  I need to dispute them with the CRA's as obsolete first.  I am trying to grasp this process and want to make sure that this is done right.
AARRGGGHHH.....
Thanks!

You need to know what your SOL is and know your DOLA! You could dispute the accounts as not mine if you believe they arent!
Rebuilding and Reducing Debt, is my game plan.

An account remains 7 years from DOFD, but the 7 year reporting time clock doesn't start until 180 days past DOFD. So really it can remain for 7.5 years. But, when a CA reports date open, it is usually the date they got the account, which means DOFD is at least a few months before that.

Dispute them based on "FCRA Compliance Date"

Is this the one they turned over to attorney? If not, they could turn this one over to attorney as well. What is your SOL?

Re: MIDLAND IS ON MY REPORTS -- HELP GET THEM OFF?????

Honestly I don't know when the DOFD was for Aspire and Bank of Marin.  I know that they both could wind up turned over the the attorney's office.  The original $1,137 is the one that was and I am paying on.  According to the web,  Kentucky's SOL is:

Contracts Written: 15 yrs. §413.090(2); Oral: 5 yrs. §413.120 (1) Collection of Debt on Account 5 yrs. §413.120 Judgments 15 yrs. §413.090(1)

I don't want to dispute as NOT MINE because I know that they will come back verified.  I have had that happen many times before on others.
