I have a charge off on my CR from Credit One which has been bought by Midland....Today I received a settlement offer for balance less 40% from Midland via mail who has not reported to CRA yet. I am more than willing to pay but there is a note on offer letter that say " if you pay your balance in full we will report your account as Paid in Full, if you pay less than the full balance, we will report as Paid in full for less than the full balance"
my question is has any received this notice before and if so, once you made payment did MCM start to report to CRA?
