I have a question about a collection account I have for a Tribute mastercard that was charged off. It is now with Midland MCM. On my report it says date opened Sept. 2009, date of last activity Sept 2007. It also states that it is an open account. My question is have to I determine the date it will fall off? Is it Sept 2014? Also, has anyone had any luck with offering a PVD with this company? I'm really trying to clean up my credit so I can purchase a home in the next two years.
Thanks!
The date opened is just the date that Midland got the account. It does not set the clock. However the date of last activity, or DOLA doesn't either. It could be the DOLA or it could be an earlier date.
I have a couple accts with them and it seems they wont do a pay for delete ... if you find something out otherwise... please let me know!!
I did a debt validation letter and they removed all accts! I guess they keep poor records
Hmmm....really? That's great! They are the most recent CA on my account for $151, so I opted for a PFD. Waiting to hear back...
