Midland shows that I am in dispute.Why?

I just checked Eq and I have a collection account with Midland and it says Consumer disputes this account information. I have never made contact with Midland or the original creditor let alone dispute it. Why are they reporting it as in dispute?- Thank you

No DV was sent?  Not that should place it in dispute.

I would contact the CRA and let them know you never have disputed the account and see if they will remove the comment.

Does the comment effecting anything?Im not looking to buy a house or anything, how long can it stay disputed?

No, not as long as you aren't applying for anything.

It is just the general point of the matter.  If you never disputed, either directly or through the CRA, it is a false statement on your CR.
