Nee help with this - an IIB and showing lates, what do I do?

I have this account listed below that was IIB and this is how it shows up on my CR. I couldn't make the past due amounts look any better than that but as you can see they range from 30-120 days late. I think they became late when we started talking to our lawyer and doing everything to file BK, it was a few years back so I'm assuming we stopped paying our CC's and that's why they are late, we were discharged in Feb 2004. So nowhere on here does it say IIB, but there is no balance. ARe these lates hurting my score? Can I write a letter asking them to remove the lates or is something even feasible or worth doing? Please help!

when did you file your BK?  If you filed AFTER you were late on the account, then the lates are correct.  You could write a GW letter to chase and ask if they would delete the account.  If you filed your BK PRIOR to these lates (like before 2003) then you need to send in your discharge paperwork to Experian and let them know that they cannot show lates after the file date.

ok I see you filed in 04 and so the 03 lates would be accurate.  However the account should state IIB BUT it looks like Chase sold it to a debt collector prior to your filing.

I have gone round and round with Wells Fargo over a similar reporting and now I am just waiting for it to fall off.  They refuse to show it as IIB because it was sold PRIOR to my BK filing.

You may have to just wait this one out.

Thanks for responding. Yes I think we stopped paying late in 2003 when we were in discussion with our lawyer and getting our paperwork together, then in Feb 04 when it was discharged that's when the lates stopped popping up. I guess I can try a letter and see what happens. I don't have any other account on my report that looks like is reporting this debt. I'll try a letter and see what happens. Thanks!
