I received a dunning notice from Allied Interstate which is also a payments slip on the bottom portion. The address on the bottom portion is a PO Box while the address on the letter head is a street & floor address. Which one should I send the DV letter to? It's obvious that the PO box is for payments, but will the corporate street address be better to send the DV to?
Allied Interstate, LLC
3000 Corporate Exchange Dr. 5th Floor
Columbus, OH 43231
vs.
P.O. Box 361774
Columbus, OH 43236
I would send it to their normal, corporate address for receipt of business correspondence as opposed to a payment address.
While their are no specific rules governing DVs, similar rules governing disputes under the FCRA state that their normal business address is acceptable for commencing the investigation period.
This is what I figured also and I used the corporate address from the letter head.
