Hello All,
Just wanted to check if a company corporate card would rebuild credit? (AMEX)
I have a $3K limit on my AMEX, use it regularly on trips.. and pay eveything off in time.
I have had this card for about 6 months.
Also, this is the only CC i have.
I do have a CS of about mid 500 .. 3 years ago i had a couple medical emergincies within two weeks.. 3 surgeries... no insurance. Does medical debt hurt my overall score?
I have read most of the entry "new user" threads within the past our, excuse me if i missed something.
Thanks!
Bump
It depends if it reports on your credit reports. My government card does not, even though I am responsible for the bill. It does not help my credit in any way, but will start reporting negatives and hurt my credit if I don't pay it.
Sorry i did not see "CR" on the abbreviation page.
The answer to your question, which I posted above, is "it depends". If the account is not on your credit report (CR), then no, it is not helping you in any way.
I ahve a word card in my name, and it does not report to CA under my name.
CR is credit report.
If the card does not report to the credit bureaus it will not help your score.

Yup, same here. Does not show on my credit report so it doesn't help, and since you dont have any other cards you are going to want to get 1 or 2 to start rebuilding. Even if you dont use them very often!
