I've faxed my dispute w/ SSN to EQ with the number provided here (404) 885 8988. Has anyone actually verified this number? It just hit me that I could be faxing my bank statements to anybody.

I just googled that number at it came up as EQ's main fax number. It seems like there should be a specific department to fax disputes to though. I'm sure they will direct it to the right area. Good luck.

It's valid.  I've used it quite a bit and the disputes I have are being worked.  Also, each time I fax my transmittal indicates that it went to Equifax.

Same goes for Transunion & Experian.
