Old CO with Cap One

I have an old CO with Cap One. I called about paying it off, we settled for 1/2 the amount due. But the persons insists that they do not do early deletions. The account is due to fall off in less than a year anyway so wondering why they wont agree. Is this typical with Cap 1?

Its the only bad thing left on my report. Now its just a matter of time to let my credit cards & car loan to age.

I also got to thinking, if I pay this account without the pay for delete how will that effect my score? Also will the account still fall off in a few months or will it remain another 7 years due to new activity?

Cap One won't do PFD. It will fall off whether or not you pay it.
