Older mortgage late impacting score?? GW success anybody??

I do have some lates on my Mortgage acct.  The most recent one was 7/2012.  Is this impacting my credit score??  I had several before that date. 

If any of you have tried to GW your mortgage holder what was the result?  If the result was in the affirmative how did you obtain said result?  Please advise.

I had a single 30 day late reporting on my mortgage. When it was deleted, my EQ (which was about 25 points behind EX and TU) jumped up 33 points and became my best score. 

Edit: 30 day late was from 10/2012

I got the generic "we cannot change accurate information on your credit report"............WRONG!!
