Opt out prescreen

Hi all,

     I went to a link on one of the post on here. It directed me to a website www.optoutprescreen.com that wants all info about me including ss#. Has anybody used this website to opt out ? I am in the process of sending a pre hipaa letter and read opting out was the first step, hope this is correct.

Its a valid site, I have used it to opt in and out.

That is the site that the FTC webpage refers consumers to.

It's legit.
