Basic question: is it good to CMRRR a GW letter? You don't have rights via the GW letter so I wonder if CMRRR'ing it sets a "formal" or aggressive tone than just a nice friendly letter dropped in the mail.

IMO, don't send PFD/GW letters CMRRR.

Re: PFD Example Letter

Thanks for the info.  I'll use it inthe future.  I sent the goodwill letter CMRRR only because I did nto have anyoen in particular to send it to and the only address was one in which everyone sends payments.  I thought it would help my letter nto get stuck in a pile with a gazillion other letters.  Thanks again, in any case, it didn't help.  Still rejected.

Re: PFD Example Letter

Hi, new to these forums, but I'm already finding out such great information. My husband and I have several credit card accounts and store credit card accounts that went delinquent in 2003 and 2004. Can a PFD letter be used for these accounts even though the debt is not in dispute? I want to pay off these debts, but I also would like them to be removed because I am trying to get a home loan. Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: PFD Example Letter

You are Heaven sent! This letter is exactly what I needed to get on the ball to improve my credit score. I just paid off all 4 of my credit cards down to a 0 balance  today, but I didn't know where to start with the collection accounts. You've just empowered me and my extremely low Fico! And for that I thank you!

Life has been so hard with 2 kids and no job for 2 years. But, somehow I managed to gradute with my BSN! So now I'm working and paying my student loans... on time! Someday my Fico will reflect my efforts.

Hopefull!

Re: PFD Example Letter - Bankrupcty in coorelation

Tuscani - Quick question if I may

I filed bankruptcy 11/2004

Fico score Equifax was 687 last week

I only have a first priemer account still showing on my credit report as included in bankruptcy, charged off..and  is due to fall off 2011.
I disputed the account since the bankruptcy was joint and we had a divorce, but it came back as validated, i really would rather pay the amount rather than wait until 2011

Would it be advise to use that PFD letter method pay that debit and ask them to delete

Thank you for reading

Welcome to the forums!

The mention of "dispute" is really for your protection. The OC (or CA) doesn't have to accept or respond to a PFD. Admiting that a debt is yours could backfire if they don't accept the PFD. They could turn around and use your admission in court if they ever decided to sue.

If you have the money to PIF, then go for it. Search around in these forums for your creditors' likely acceptance of a PFD. Plenty of success stories here.

Go for it. If you are within SOL, but have the $$$ to pay in full, then go for a PFD. However, First Premier isn't too known for their PFD acceptance. However, don't let that stop you and keep sending them until you get a "yes". Consider also sending to multiple addresses if possible.

Re: PFD Example Letter

Thanks, Timothy.

How exactly do I request the Debt Validation - and is that to the CA or the CRB?
