Re: PRA bites the dust

All of these debts were about 2 years old from the charge off date.

When the debt was sold to Portfolio, the original Capital One account disappeared and the Portfolio collections showed up. Once they were paid, the debt changed status to settled for less, then the account was removed altogether. I also had a Capital One sold to Cavalry which was wiped off in less than 30 days.

Moore didn't show up as a debt collector because they wanted to take it to court. Apparently, they were going to be filing that week so likely dodged a bullet there. The Capital One now shows up with a $0 balance (Previous balance showing was over $3K) and as account paid for less than full balance/paid charge off.

Re: PRA bites the dust

Update: Capital One prequal was accurate. I had to send in some income verification docs and my new card is on its way.
