Paying for a deletion

Ok, this isn't your standard pay-for-delete question.

The account was paid directly to the doctor's office. I moved three years ago, my address didn't get forwarded properly. When I just checked my credit report a few months ago, I saw the collection, I called the doctor's office and paid it to them directly. I also called the collection agency to see if they would delete it, but they won't. I called the old doctor's office to see if they can get the CA to delete it, and the CA told them that they can't or won't delete it. I've DV'd it with the CRAs with no success.

My scores are 801 exp (not reported), 705 eq, 706 tu. If I can't get my middle score to 740, I'm going to get penalized 0.75% for my mortgage, which will result in about $300/mo extra.

Do CAs have some policy where they will accept money to delete a paid off medical collection?

Re: Paying for a deletion

Search around for the HIPAA process.

DVs only go to CAs, not CRAs, but I'm not suggesting that for this case.
