Portfolio Recovery deleted on it's own!!!

Just checked my Experian credit report after reading this post and my Portfolio Recovery collection has also been removed! I'm excited!

Does anyone have a link to the post where it mentions that Portfolio Recovery is deleting paid collections? I paid off my collection in May 2017 and have been on a goodwill campaign to get bad items removed since then.

@Civil The new policy just started on 10/17 you should check your reports again in a few days.  They are definitely deleting paid and settled accounts from reports.  It has been deleted from all my reports.

Any idea what made them change?

No, I don't.  They are probably trying to get more people to pay their balances by offering the option to pay to delete.

Probably bombarded by all of the Goodwill Request. LOL!!!

Or possible litigation or complaints. They already posted off regulators in the past so might just be doing the right thing. Lol I know. Still waiting for transunion to drop off. Came off experian and equifax quickly.

I can confirm, Today I settled two collection accounts with PRA and spoke to a manager and she confirmed to me that they have a new policy set in place as of last week, and after the payment has cleared they will submit a request to delete the accounts from the CRA's.  We shall see what happens in the next month or so.

Same here credit builders!! I was so blasted excited! My Transunion score went up 54 points. Thank you Lord!
But I did notice that the original collection for cap one is still on my report. Does anyone know if this will be removed as well?

I noticed the same happened with EQ report. I thought it was just because of my special circumstance but apparently its working for everyone. I'm hoping it stays that way and it comes off TU and EX.
