Is quick silver any better? I called cap 1 and they checked my journey card which is rewards and no fee and theu said ot was eligible for upgrade to qs but that they are pretty much the same

Yes the QS is better. 1.5% cash back beats the 1.25% cash back that Journey offers.

On the Capital One site I PQ for both the regular Quicksilver and Venture but they wouldn't allow me to upgrade and keep my existing account # and history. Going to try and call again in a few days.

Mine always upgraded to "regular" QS, but retained the Mastercard flavor and all history. Call and just tell them you want to "add rewards" to your card.
