Prompt Recovery Services

They are currently not licensed in the state of north carolina, where the debtee lives. The debt originated in Ohio, where Prompt Recovery Services is located any chance that they can legally sue? If i'm not mistaken any Collection Agency collecting in the state of NC must be licensed.

Any thoughts?

Rebuilding and Reducing Debt, is my game plan.

Re: Prompt Recovery Services

Pretty sure just because you move doesn't mean they can't collect. I may be wrong but as long as there licensed in the state where the debt occured they are allowed to collect. Another note, I dealt with prompt recovery in ohio and paid them and they deleted the debt and I found them easy to deal with. If they are allowed to collect I'd try to work with them instead of the debt being passed on to a company like midland which is impossible to deal with. Just my opinion
