Proper Validation?

I recieved a response back from Asset Acceptance regarding and old BofA account. I actually forgot I had sent them a DV request.

They sent me back a letter stating the account numbers, balance, etc... and a ton of statement copies but nothing showing that they bought the debt from BofA, no contract, anything. Is that sufficient?

Basically the letter says that they bought the account, the date they bought it and that the "previous creditor" indicated the account was mine.

I live in Idaho if that matters at all. Smiley Happy

Re: Proper Validation?

Yes, that is proper validation.  They only have to say who is collecting, the amount and if you ask for the OC and their address, they have to tell you that.
