thanks guys for the advice...i disputed it because i don't believe it's mine, not because i wanted it off my credit report just to gain points...i have really no recollection of that cc...in fact the only thing i had back then was a first premier card that i ended up closing in 2009 with zero balance...i want to fight it til the end, but i'm hoping it won't cost me as much just to get ride of it...i know having a lawyer would cost money and it might just end up costing what they are trying to collect from me...i hope i'm wrong...
