I requested automatic withdrawel/direct debit be set up back in April (been paying on an intallment plan for over a year, with perfect payments) so that I can then request the lien be removed. Since then I've received at least 3, if not 4, "your request has been delayed for 45 days" letters. It's been over 5 months. Seriously! Has anyone encountered this or have any solutions, suggestions? Anyone I've spoken to at the IRS can't give me any time frame or answers as to why the delay.
