Re: Rental Issue re-aging or something

They got back in writing but it took almost 90 days. Manager stts we owe 300 dollars and as soon as we pay that they will update the credit report correctly. Is this acceptable. The broke the TX law when they did not respond the 1st 30 days. The are reporting that we owe 5k when we really only owe 300 and will not report as PIF or items returned until we pay the 300.00 balance on the account.

Re: Rental Issue re-aging or something

No that is illegal.  They have to report accurately.

File complaints with the FTC and your states AG.

1  Did not respond in the required 30 day time frame.

2. By admission, reporting inaccurately on your credit reports.

3. Refuses to report accurately unless you send a payment.

4. Changed DoFD from 2002 to 2011.

What items returned?  They are holding your personnel belongings?

When was this initially reported?  And how old is it?

Re: Rental Issue re-aging or something

I know.  Even so it was too old to report in 2011.

OP should have asked for the DoFD.

Re: Rental Issue re-aging or something

What da bears was correct. Guiness56 what do you mean I should have asked for date of first delinquency? The last pmt made to the landlord was no later than 2002 because that is when he deployed. The Dofd has been changed several times that is why it is still on my report.

I mean you should have asked the OC what they were showing for a DoFD and how they came about that date. Or at least what their records show as a last payment.  Let them dig their own hole.
