Reopening a closed credit card??

Hello,

My oldest (and only "bad") credit card is from Bank of America- and it was closed last year by BoA due to 3 late payments in a row (hence, the "bad").

I'd like to ask if they could reopen this account, since I've been making payments on time for about a year now, and I'd like the age of this account to factor into my credit score.

Can this even happen? Is it a terrible idea?

Any advice is helpful!

~Lauren

Nope, it wasn't COed, I've been paying it. They just closed it so I couldn't use the card anymore. My credit report literally just says "Accounts closed by credit grantor"

All you can do is ask.  Some creditors are easier to work with than others.
