Re: Road To Redemption

They all appear to be paid or only lates reporting.  If that is the case about the only thing you can do is start sending out GW letters.  You may get 100 no's but it only takes one yes.

If one person says no, find another one to send a GW to.  Just keep sending them.

Re: Road To Redemption

With Macy's I would call.  I had really good success with just giving them a call.  They are relatively receptive to sympathetic stories & whatnot.

Likewise, I would make sure I talk to a higher rep.  I spoke with a few lower guys that continually told me there was nothing they could do.  Once I spoke with the higher rep, everything was "clean & clear".

I had 13 lates ranging from 30 to 120's....

SO it can def be done!!!

Re: Road To Redemption

What number are you dialing for Macy's?

I have called the following numbers:
877-493-9207
866-533-0825
800-543-9617

The last time I sent a Goodwill Letter to Macy's was on March 19, 2013 and received a declination letter on April 19, 2013. I will prepare another letter this week.

Re: Road To Redemption

I just called the number that was listed on the Macy's website.

One key thing as i mentioned before, make sure if they give you any hassle (the front line folks) just ask to speak to a supervisor.  These guys are really helpful and willing to help.

Re: Road To Redemption

Ok...because my account is charged off they state that they have to transfer me to a "Senior Analyst" to view my account. The business hours are strict, luckily I go on vacation this Wednesday so I should make a lot of positive moves.

Re: Road To Redemption

Yeah that's probably who you'd need to speak with.

I hung out on the phone with them for a while, however they took care of the issue fast.

Just stay on top of it and you nail it.
