SOL Question

  Hey Fam,

I am sure this question has been asked before however I am unable to find the exact answer that I need so I'd figure since we are family, you wouldn't mind helping me out  Smiley Happy                       I DV'd a CA who appears to be outside of the SOL (Yes the debt is mine).  The CA responded with the required documents to include a signed copy on the agreement (medical debt).  Now on my EX report it says: Date Opened Oct 2006; Date of Status May 2008; Reported Since May 2008; Last Reported 10/2010;  This acct is scheduled to continue on record until Dec 2010;        So, since the debt is outside of the SOL, should I send them a PFD letter, to pay about 25% of the debt? Or, should I just wait until it falls off next year?  Inquiring minds, wanna know..   Thanks In Advance Smiley Happy

Re: SOL Question

What is the DOFD on the OC account that preceded any collectilion reporting done by the debt collector in any of their CA reporting?

You need that date before any advice can be offered.

Dont take their dates as "expected to be deleted" with more than a grain of salt.

What do yorur records with the OC establish?

SOL expiration is also usually pinned to your DOFD. Not always, because state .laws vary, but it is a usual presumptive date.

What is your DOFD?

Re: SOL Question

Hey EG,  I believe the date of service was in 2005;  Don't know the exact date, but I can get that information if needed.  Smiley Happy
